Assemblies
We support assemblies during the school year by inviting presenters to do schoolwide presentations with educational and positive messages to our students.
AquaSox Reading Program
We partner with AquaSox on a month-long reading program. Students track and set their own goals. There are reading prizes and an AquaSox ticket that can be redeemed for designated PCE night or used in the future.
Back to School Event
School is back and we need to celebrate together. We host a family event with food trucks, giveaways, music, balloon artists, bubbles, and more!
Bingo for Books Event
Families are invited to spend an evening playing Bingo! Every child who plays get a free book and concessions are available for purchase.
Book Fairs
Twice a year we host the Scholastic Book Fair for families to come in and purchase books, posters, and trinkets. This fundraiser is to support new books in our school library and classrooms.
Drama Performance
This is a partnership with Missoula Children’s Theatre. Student’s audition and rehearse for a week and then put on two performances for PCE students and families to enjoy.
Ice Skating Night
PTA hosted FREE family event at Angel of the Winds Ice Rink. Families are invited to have an evening out ice skating with friends!
Movie Nights
This event will be hosted multiple times during the school year. Families and students are invited to watch a family friendly movie at our school. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Penny Creek Running Program
Led by our PE teacher, students (Penny Creek Pacers) of all grades are encouraged to run during recess and stay active. This program was formerly known as Penny Creek Running Club.
Popcorn Friday’s
A popular volunteer activity and a favorite of students. We provide FREE popcorn once a month to students after lunch. The popcorn provided is Jolly Time popcorn made with coconut oil. For more information here.
PTA Awards and Recognition
We participate in the WSPTA Volunteer PTA Awards every year. This is a way to show appreciation and recognition to volunteers, educators, and advocates of Penny Creek.
Reflections Art Program
Students are encouraged to submit works of art - film, dance, music, literature, visual arts, and photography of the theme for the year. Submissions are recognized and may advance though WSPTA district, region, council, and state.
School Dance
Family fun night to show everyone your dance moves! This hosted event will typically happen at the end of the year with food trucks, music, and last hooray before summer break!
School Grants
The PTA budgets funds for office and staff grants. We also contribute to field trips and 5th grade camp to bring down the cost to all students. Also, help with student assistance and hardships.
School Supplies
The PTA budgets funds to help pay for art supplies needed for all classrooms throughout the year. In addition, we provide new and replacement of recess equipment such as chalk, balls, jump ropes, etc.
Science Day
This annual tradition brings members of our community together to showcase how science is used during school hours.
Spirit Wear
Can someone say school spirit? We provide custom Penny Creek shirts and sweatshirts to purchase throughout the year.
Talent Show
This event is a special opportunity to have Penny Creek students highlight their creative side. Students audition and then rehearse to put on a memorable night of displaying their talents to families and friends.
Yearbook
Yearbooks are a great way for student’s to have a keepsake of their time at Penny Creek. The PTA provides this book for purchase to keep memories of classmates, school events, and trends of the time.
